Class Description

Textbook: Teach Your Kids to Code (2015)

Code for fun! This is a computer programming course for absolute beginners. It will help students explore basic concepts of Python programming (variables, data types, conditions, loops, random numbers and functions) and develop passion for computer science. Students will learn basic Python programming skills through hands-on coding, drawing graphics and creating animations. Students must bring a Windows laptop to the class, although a MacBook will be acceptable as long as the student knows how to manage files and install programs.
